Know how a county is mapped, what the public figures mean and how to ask for your county next.

How a county is mapped
- Every manufacturer registered or operating in the county is recorded, anchored on its Companies House number where one exists.
- Each company is looked for on the web. One with nothing beyond the register and basic directory listings stays recorded but sits outside the verified set, and the workbench does not list it.
- Every profiled value is verified (a source states it, and the source is cited) or inferred (derived, with the reasoning written down). Missing stays missing.
- What is recorded is measured against the official count of manufacturing sites in the county, so the gap is a number too.
The stages of a county

Every executed county import ships a Kabaido release, and the county records the version it arrived in. The public list shows a live county as "added in" that version.
The public figures
The figures come from /api/stats/inspect, which reads inspect_regions alone and nothing at company level. The Inspect page renders them through the same reader, so the two cannot disagree.

A figure that is zero or not yet counted is left off the page, never shown as zero.
Request your county
- Step 1.
Open the Inspect page and find Request your county beside the map.
- Step 2.
Choose the County, then enter your Company and a Work email.
- Step 3.
Press Request this county. It is posted to
/api/contact, the contact form's own route, so it reaches Kabaido as a lead, you get a confirmation email and we reply by email. It does not add the county to the map by itself.
