The free plan caps explained

Know exactly when and why the free plan pauses the AI.

The free plan is genuinely free to use. No card is ever required to sign up, and you are never billed for going over a limit.

Two caps, whichever comes first

Free AI usage is bounded by two caps for the calendar month. It stops at whichever one you reach first.

  • Usage: enough for a short session of real enquiries, drawn down the same way as on any plan.
  • Provider cost: a cap on the underlying AI provider spend, default $1.00.

The guard checks both before an extraction starts and again between stages, so a single large request cannot run past the caps unnoticed.

Structural caps

The free plan also includes one user, 100 products, 2 configurators, 2 services and up to 2 vision pages per request. It is deliberately too tight to run a business on. Nothing is deleted at a cap; you are told plainly and can upgrade when ready.

What happens on the cap

When either cap is reached the AI pauses politely and tells you the exact reason. The rest of the platform stays fully usable, so you can keep browsing, building quotes by hand and reading what was already resolved.

Why two caps and not one

Usage measures work done for you. Provider cost measures what that work cost us to run. They usually track each other, and occasionally they do not: one enormous scanned document with dense pages can consume far more of the second than of the first.

A single usage cap would leave that case unguarded, and the only alternatives would be asking for a card up front or quietly making the free plan worse. Two caps means the free plan can stay genuinely free, with no card and no overage, without one unusual document being able to run up an open-ended bill on our side.

What the free plan is for

It is enough to answer the question the platform exists to answer: send a real enquiry of your own, on your own catalogue, and see what comes back. It is a session, not a month, and it is not enough to run a sales desk on. It is not pretending to be.

Both caps reset at the start of the next calendar month. To lift them, upgrade to a paid plan from the Billing page.
