The free plan caps explained
Know what the free plan holds, why its AI allowance is small and what stops when it is spent.

The AI allowance
- Enough for a few real enquiries. It does not refresh: the free plan is a look, not a rolling trial.
- Each free request is bounded: a shorter document, fewer knowledge packs and no step up to the larger model.
- The guard checks before a request starts and again during it, so one large document cannot run past it.
When it is spent
AI answers pause and say why. Everything else carries on: the catalogue, quoting by hand and what was already read. Nothing is deleted at a cap and you are never billed for going over one.
Upgrading from /app/settings/billing lifts the caps to the new plan's and gives a full month of usage the moment the payment lands.
