Drawings and exports
Get the drawing, the specification and the production files out of a configured part.

One set of numbers
Where a design module draws a dimensioned elevation on its PDF, the elevation is built from the same profile as its DXF. The 3D model is built in your browser from the parameters on screen. Both come from the values that priced the part.
The formats

| STEP | Solid geometry for CAD. |
Every export carries its configuration id and is built from the same values. The STEP is written from the design module's own solid geometry, and the DXF from its 2D profile.
Before you export
- A blocking check stops every export until it is resolved.
- Each export draws on your usage and counts against the plan's monthly export allowance (see The workbench).
- Configuring and looking draw nothing.
With Commerce on, a signed in customer sees their own saved designs with the parameters and the price, never the breakdown, and can choose Ask for a quote.
