What a month looks like
Every plan includes an amount of AI usage a month. Here is roughly what that is worth in the work a technical sales desk actually does.
| In a month | Free | Pro | Ultra | Max |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Multi-line quotes | 4 to 6 | 300 to 500 | 1,650 to 2,500 | 3,300 to 5,000 |
| Resolved request lines | About 25 | About 2,000 | About 10,000 | About 20,000 |
| AI-driven design runs | About 12 | About 1,000 | About 5,000 | About 10,000 |
| Replies drafted from your inbox | About 5 | About 400 | About 2,000 | About 4,000 |
Every figure is computed from the plan allowance and the work the platform really does. Nothing here is a cap on a particular feature: it is one pool of usage, spent on whatever you point it at.
What never touches your usage
The plain answer to what you can be charged for by surprise: nothing on this list.
- Your people using the platform
- Browsing, searching, opening a request, reading a quote and every screen in between. Usage meters the AI, not your team.
- Quotes and orders you build yourself
- Writing a quote by hand, editing lines, sending the PDF, taking the acceptance on the portal and converting it to an order.
- Configuring a custom product yourself
- Driving a Design Engineer configurator, pricing it, exporting the drawing and the files. Only the runs where the AI does the configuring draw on usage.
- Running a machine screen
- The interface at the machine runs all shift for nothing. A running screen is never disabled mid-job either.
Beyond the subscription
One-off work we scope with you
Every module is included in every plan. What sits on top is work we build for you once, quoted per project, plus one flat monthly line for an extra machine screen.
- A Kabaido Commerce website
- A fully managed website, online store and trade portal for your range, built by us: quoted per project, typically £6,500 to £12,500 depending on complexity, billed as two invoices. It then runs on your ordinary Kabaido plan with no separate hosting line. About Commerce
- A custom Design Engineer module
- A design category scoped and built for what you make, with its own parameters, pricing and drawing output: quoted per project, then it works like any launch category. About the Design Engineer
- A custom selector wizard
- A guided selector built around your own selection logic and catalogue, for the questions your customers get wrong on their own: quoted per project. About the Sales Engineer
- Machinist custom builds and licences
- Custom machine interfaces built for your machines, or presets and builds licensed to machine builders: quoted per project. About Machinist
- Extra machine screens
- Every plan includes one connected machine screen, the free plan included. Extra screens are £49 a month each on any paid plan, and a running machine screen is never disabled mid-job. About Machinist
Frequently asked
- The work the AI does for you: reading an enquiry, extracting the specification, matching it against your catalogue, configuring a custom product, drafting a reply. Heavier work uses more, a scanned drawing uses more than a pasted email, and your people using the platform uses none of it.
- More than you think you will, on every plan. The table above is the honest guide: Pro comfortably covers a desk quoting through the day, and the step up to Ultra and Max is for teams and multi-site operations. Start on Free, send your own RFQs through it, then pick the plan that matches what you saw.
- The AI pauses politely and the rest of the platform carries on: quoting, orders, the catalogue, the configurators and the machine screens all keep working. Your usage resets on your billing date, and upgrading lifts the limit straight away. There is no per-unit overage and no surprise invoice.
- No. Each month starts fresh with the full allowance.
- Annual billing takes 5 per cent off twelve months of the monthly price, billed once a year. Switch between monthly and annual at any time from the billing switch above or in your settings.
- Yes. An upgrade takes effect immediately and is prorated, so you pay only the difference for the rest of the period. A downgrade also takes effect immediately, but the part of the period already paid for is not refunded, so it is worth moving down close to your renewal date.
- Prices exclude VAT.
- Export everything as CSV anytime; we delete on request.
- Pro, Ultra and Max include unlimited users. Users are people in your organisation and fair use applies. Free stays at 1 user.
- 50 per cent off your first month, on monthly billing only. Annual billing is excluded because it already carries a 5 per cent annual discount.
- A Kabaido Commerce website is quoted per project, typically £6,500 to £12,500 depending on complexity, billed as two invoices, and then runs on your ordinary plan. Custom Design Engineer modules, custom selector wizards and Machinist builds and licences are quoted per project. The only other line is an extra machine screen at £49 a month. Everything else in the five modules is included in the plans.
