What a credit is
One credit is one ordinary resolved request line. A service line or a configured line is two. A configured line that consumed geometry is three. Vision pages beyond the first add one each. Work actions through an AI connector meter at twice the base weight. Browsing, manual quotes and the run page never cost credits: credits meter the AI, not your people. Allowances reset monthly and do not roll over.
What your month looks like
A typical quote runs three to four resolved lines, so one credit is about a quarter of a quote. Match the volume your desk handles to a plan, then read a month line by line below.
| Detail | Free | Starter | Growth | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Credits a month | 25 | 250 | 1,000 | 3,000 |
| Typical quotes a month | 6 to 8 | 60 to 80 | 250 to 330 | 750 to 1,000 |
- The Ashworth three-line catalogue quote
- Three ordinary resolved lines at one credit each. 3 × 1 = 3 credits.
- The Eastfield 12-line regrind batch
- Twelve service lines at two credits each. 12 × 2 = 24 credits.
- A 4-option configured endmill enquiry with geometry
- Four configured lines that each consumed geometry, at three credits each. 4 × 3 = 12 credits.
- One line read from a three-page scanned drawing
- One ordinary line at one credit. The first page is free; the next two pages add one each. 1 + 2 × 1 = 3 credits.
- A request raised through the Claude connector
- Reads are free. One work action posted back through an AI connector meters at twice the base weight, so 2 credits.
- Where the Growth allowance ends
- Growth includes 1,000 credits. The first 1,000 are covered; the 1,001st line costs £0.25, then so does each one after it.
Sample organisation: Hartwell Precision Tooling. All values are demonstration data. The quote ranges are a rule of thumb at three to four lines a quote. The connector, vision and overage rows are illustrative. Every credit total here is computed from the published weights.
Frequently asked
- What exactly is a credit?
- A credit is one resolved request line. Heavier lines weigh more, as the credit strip above shows. Browsing, manual quoting and your own configurator runs are never metered.
- How many credits will I need?
- A typical quote runs three to four resolved lines, so one credit is about a quarter of a quote. Starter covers around 60 to 80 quotes a month, Growth around 250 to 330 and Scale around 750 to 1,000. Match your monthly quote volume to a tier and watch the meter on real lines before you commit.
- What happens when I run out?
- Free pauses AI politely. Paid tiers meter overage at your tier rate.
- Do credits roll over?
- No, allowances reset monthly.
- How does annual billing work?
- Annual billing takes 10 per cent off twelve months of the monthly price, billed once a year. Switch between monthly and annual at any time from the billing switch above or in your settings.
- Can I change plans anytime?
- Yes, prorated.
- Is VAT included?
- Prices exclude VAT.
- What happens to my data if I cancel?
- Export everything as CSV anytime; we delete on request.
- What does unlimited users mean?
- Starter, Growth and Scale include unlimited users. Users are people in your organisation and fair use applies. Free stays at 1 user.
- How does the first-month offer work?
- 50 per cent off your first month, on monthly billing only. Annual billing is excluded because it already carries a 10 per cent annual discount.
