Made to spec
Handle a request with no catalogue match: set out, handed to the right product or priced by you.

- Much of what an industrial customer asks for is made to their drawing, and there is no part number to match.
- What
- A line read as made to specification keeps its structure and goes to whatever in the workspace can answer it.
- How
- Kabaido routes each line on its own; where it could not answer one, you hand it over or price it yourself.
Decided per line
You never declare a request a design job before sending it. A mixed enquiry of stock items and one fabricated part is read as exactly that, and each line goes where it belongs.

Hand a line to the Design Engineer
- Step 1.
On a line read as made to specification, press Design this line.
- Step 2.
Or, on the Made to order card, press Design this with the Design Engineer for the whole request.
- Step 3.
The design answers in the same conversation, and is also stored as its own design thread you can reopen.
A drawing sent into a design thread is transcribed first, into the dimensions and notes printed on it, and the transcription is shown in the thread beside what was configured from it. Check it against the drawing.
Price it yourself
The Made to order card says there is no catalogue part to match: nothing is priced for you and nothing is guessed. Press Create quote on the Quote draft and the lines come across with their descriptions, sizes and quantities for you to price in /app/quotes. A line you add there by hand is a Manual line.
If part of the request is standard stock you supply, import it and those lines match from then on.
