Counts and stocktakes
Count a location and let the platform write the differences as adjustments.
Updated 23 September 2026
- Why
- Shelves drift from the books, and a count is how you bring them back.
- What
- A count lists every line at one location with what the ledger expects; closing it writes one adjustment per difference.
- How
- Open a count from the Locations view of
/app/stock, enter what you find and close it.
Run a count
- Step 1.
In
/app/stock, choose Locations, then Count this location on the row. - Step 2.
Enter the figure found against each item in Counted. Variance fills in as you go.
- Step 3.
Choose Close the count and confirm.
Closing writes every non zero variance as an Adjustment, in one transaction, and tells the team in Activity. A line left blank is not adjusted.
Who does what

Recent counts, under the locations, shows each count's status, how many lines are counted and how many carry a variance.
For one item on one shelf, the Count action on the Scan station is quicker. See Scanning stock.
