Service Centre

On this page
Service Centre runs the work you do on the customer's own property, from the item arriving to the item going back.
It can register the item with a scannable code, move it through the benches your workflow declares, price the job on what was found rather than what was declared, and turn the minutes between scans into real cost and visible margin.
Give your customers a clear account of where their items are, what was done and why it cost what it cost.
Its rules decide what is asked, surcharged, refused or defaulted before anyone types anything, so the quote is right the first time.
Built for reconditioning, coating, calibration and repair.

In more detail
Service models declare a workflow type, the item families they apply to, their steps against station groups, a price formula and standard minutes. Registration gives the customer's item a code that prints as a QR and a Code 128 line on its docket and labels. Every scan lands on one trail, and the minutes between scans show on the item. The Costing view holds your rates and standard minutes and runs the reports, the Rules view records the workshop's settings, and with Commerce on, customers see their own items. Service models come ready for common work or are built to order.
Where it lives
| Area | Where | Kind |
|---|---|---|
| Quotes | /app/quotes | an area in the menu |
| Orders | /app/orders | an area in the menu |
| Servicing | /app/servicing | an area in the menu |
| Scan | /app/scan | a station screen |
It adds to Stock when the product that brings that area is on too.
Works with Stock and Commerce. Nothing is a prerequisite: each pair only adds to the other.
Switching it on and off
Switch it on in Settings then Products, on any plan. It brings Servicing with the registry, the work queue, your services and their rules, and service lines on quotes and orders.
Switched off: Every registered item and its history stay readable. No item can be booked in or moved until it is switched on again.
