Data export and deletion
Export your data as CSV whenever you want and request deletion when you leave.
You stay in control of your data. You can take a full copy at any time and ask us to delete it when you no longer need Kabaido.
Export as CSV
Every list area carries a CSV export button. Quotes, Orders and Customers each export the records in your current filter, so you can take all of them or a focused subset.
- Open Quotes, Orders or Customers.
- Apply any filters you want reflected in the file.
- Choose Export CSV and the current view downloads as a CSV file.
Exports are available on every plan, including the free plan. There is no charge to take a copy of your data.
Full export
Need everything rather than one area at a time? Email hello@kabaido.com and we will run a complete export of your organisation: one CSV per table covering requests, quotes, orders, customers, catalogue, servicing, configurators, usage ledgers and emails (the operator script is scripts/export-org.ts in the platform repository). Secret values such as API key hashes and integration credentials are redacted and never leave the database. Full deletion follows the same email request path.
What a full export contains
One CSV per table, covering requests, quotes, orders, customers, catalogue, servicing, configurators, usage ledgers and emails. Secret values (API key hashes, integration credentials) are redacted and never leave the database, because an export is meant to give you your data, not to hand somebody a working key to your ERP in a zip file.
Request deletion
An owner can delete the whole organisation from Settings, then Organisation, in the danger zone. Deletion requires typing a confirmation and is restricted to the owner.
If you would rather we handle it, email hello@kabaido.com and we will delete your data on request. Export anything you want to keep first, because deletion is permanent.
What survives a deletion, and why
A small amount of record has to outlive the account: the billing and invoicing history a UK business is required to keep, and anything already the subject of a legal obligation. That is a legal retention requirement rather than a copy of your commercial data, and it does not include your catalogue, your customers, your quotes or your requests. Say so explicitly in your deletion request if you need the scope confirmed in writing and we will confirm it.
Deleting one person rather than everything
Removing a colleague from Settings, then Users, revokes their access immediately. It does not delete the quotes they raised or the requests they handled, because those are your organisation's records rather than theirs. A data subject request about that person as an individual is a separate thing and is handled under Compliance and GDPR.
Deletion cannot be undone. Once your data is removed it cannot be recovered, so take an export beforehand.
