Inspect
Know every manufacturer on your patch before you knock
Inspect maps every manufacturer in a region into an engineering grade profile built from public evidence, then tells your field team which three offerings to lead with, which questions to ask and who to speak to. The fifth Kabaido module, included with every plan.
The problem in the field
Cold doors, generic pitches and questions that go nowhere
A rep with a patch full of manufacturers gets one chance at a credible first conversation. Most walk in knowing the company name and little else.
The patch is a mystery
Hundreds of manufacturers within an hour's drive, and no honest picture of what any of them make, run or buy.
The pitch is generic
Without site evidence the opener is the same everywhere, and buyers can tell within a sentence.
The questions are soft
Discovery falls flat when the questions could have been asked of any factory in the country.
The knowledge walks out
What the veteran knows about every site on the patch lives in one head, and leaves when they do.
How it works
From public evidence to a brief your rep can act on
One region at a time, Kabaido builds the census a field team actually needs, then puts your own offering on top of it.
- Mapped regions
- Every manufacturer in a county, measured against the official denominator so coverage is a number, not a claim.
- Evidence carrying profiles
- Processes, machines, materials, certifications, scale and commercial signals, each value carrying its sources and whether it was verified or inferred.
- Browse freely, open what is worth working
- The map, the list, the filters and your own lists cost nothing at all. Your plan sets how many company profiles you open a month, and everything you have opened stays open to you.
- Your top three solutions
- Load your offering map once and every brief ranks the three offers this site's evidence actually supports, with the reason and a hook line.
- Questions worth asking
- An ordered, engineering literate discovery set specific to the site, built to make listening productive.
- Debriefs that compound
- After the visit, the rep logs what happened in plain words. Machines seen and challenges heard become private facts your whole team keeps.
- The tools you already pay for
- Apollo, Lemlist, Clay and more connect on your own accounts: preview contacts free, reveal on your provider account, store deduped in one list.
The record
What sits behind one company
A profile is not a firmographic row. It is what an engineer would write down after a proper look at the operation, with a source against every line.
Identity and sites
Legal entity, trading names, the registered number, the operating premises and the local authority each one sits in.
Processes, machines and materials
What the shop actually runs: the processes, the plant list where one is published, the materials worked and the tolerances claimed.
Scale and certification
Headcount band, shift pattern where it is stated, quality approvals and the sectors the company sells into.
Commercial signals
Filed accounts and when the next are due, overdue flags, charges, Gazette notices and company age, straight from the public registers.
People and engagement
Contacts your team has found and stored, the activity logged against the company and the private facts your own debriefs added.
What is not known
The open gaps, listed rather than filled. They become the discovery questions on the visit agenda.
Profiles are graded full, standard or stub by how much evidence stands behind them. A stub is an honest register record, never padding.
The workbench
Five screens, and the map is the front door
Inspect is one workbench rather than a folder of pages. The region switcher, the internal navigation and the month's profile allowance sit on the frame; everything else is the work.
- The region, in map or list
- Every verified manufacturer in the activated county, on the map or in a filtered, virtualised list. Trade, local authority, size band and how much evidence stands behind each record. Filtering and searching cost nothing.
- The company
- One page per manufacturer: the profile with its citations, your own facts, the engagement history and the two documents you can generate from it.
- Lists
- Your own working sets, built from a filter or one company at a time, shared across the team and exported as CSV whenever you need them somewhere else.
- Planner
- What is coming up and what happened last time, kept deliberately thin. Inspect prepares the conversation; your CRM keeps the pipeline.
- Offering
- Your side of the ranking: products, services and value adds framed by the value area they serve. Load the distributor template, draft it from your catalogue or write it by hand.
The two documents
What a representative takes to the door
Two documents come out of a profile, and both are grounded only in the stored evidence, your own captured facts and your offering map.
The visit agenda
A site snapshot, the likely challenges graded known, inferred or assumed, the top three solutions from your own range, the questions to ask, the buying centres likely on site and one credible way in.
- Never more than three solutions, each with the evidence that supports it.
- Questions ordered so listening is productive, specific to this site.
- What is not known is printed as a discovery target rather than papered over.
Drafted against the profile, cited line by line, and it abstains in front of you rather than inventing a detail.
The pricelist and quote
A priced selection from your own catalogue, matched to what the company is evidenced to do, with the quantity breaks you already publish and a suggested customer rate derived from their filed figures.
- Every price is your list price, from your own catalogue.
- The reasoning behind the suggested rate is printed with it, so you can overrule it.
- Where an admin has scoped a user to part of the range, the document is built inside that scope and says so.
Nothing here is written by a model: the lines are a query against your catalogue and the rate is a band. Both are deterministic.
Built honest
Cite or abstain, all the way down
Every profiled attribute carries its evidence. Verified means a source states it and the source is cited. Inferred means derived, with the reasoning written down. Unknown means the profile says so and the brief turns the gap into a discovery question, because nothing is ever invented to fill a page.
Honest stubs are part of the census: a large share of any county's smallest manufacturers leave no usable web footprint, so their records carry register facts and nothing else. That residual is shown, not hidden.
Outreach is compliance aware by construction. Sole traders and partnerships are flagged where consent rules apply, sends run through your own connected inbox with identification attached, and your suppression list is enforced absolutely.
Beside your CRM
A layer next to your systems, not another one to migrate to
A distributor with a working CRM does not need a second pipeline, and Inspect does not try to be one. It sits upstream of the quote and hands its intelligence to whatever you already run.
- Export is a first class feature
- CSV of the companies you have opened, carrying your own debrief facts, your activity, your note on each company and an index of the documents you generated. Capped per calendar month, watermarked and audited.
- The tools you already pay for
- Apollo, Lemlist, Clay, Prospeo and Anymailfinder connect on your own accounts. Preview contacts free, reveal on your provider account, and every stored contact is normalised and deduped into one list.
- Your inbox, not ours
- A first touch goes out through the inbox your organisation has already connected, carrying your identification and a plain way to object. Sends log as activity on the company.
- Only what has to leave, leaves
- Company name, domain and, on a reveal, the person's name and title. Profiles, evidence, your own facts and your documents never travel through a connector.
Live coverage
Regions, measured against the official count
These numbers read live from the mapped regions, so this page can never claim coverage that does not exist.
- DerbyshireLive
3,272 companies recorded against 2,860 manufacturing sites
Regions are activated with you rather than sold by the row. If your patch is not mapped yet, tell us where it is and we will tell you when it can be.
Pricing

Inspect comes with your Kabaido plan. The plan sets how many company profiles you can open a month; browsing the map and the aggregates costs nothing.
- Free: 5 company profiles a month
- Pro: 100 a month
- Ultra: 500 a month, Max: 1000 a month
- Distributor fleets and multi team territories: quoted per project
- Contacts, documents and debriefs draw on your ordinary monthly usage

Questions
About Inspect
- Inspect turns online research into an engineering grade profile of every manufacturer in a region, then tells your salespeople which three solutions to lead with and which questions to ask.
- No, and it is not trying to. Inspect lives upstream of the quote: it prepares the conversation, and the pipeline stays wherever it lives today. The planner is deliberately thin, and export, contact connectors and your own connected inbox are what carry the intelligence into the systems you already run.
- Public sources: the company's own website, the public registers, premises and directory data and published trade information. Every profiled value carries its sources and whether it was verified or inferred, and anything not evidenced is listed as a gap rather than guessed. Paid credit reference data is not included: where it is unavailable the profile says so rather than implying a clean record.
- The live regions are listed on this page, read straight from the mapping data with the official manufacturing count beside them, so the figure can never be more than the truth. Mapping runs county by county and activations are agreed with us.
- Nothing on top of your plan. The plan sets how many company profiles you can open a month: 5 on Free, 100 on Pro, 500 on Ultra and 1000 on Max. Browsing the map, the list, the filters and your own lists costs nothing at all, and documents, stored contacts and debriefs draw on your ordinary monthly usage. Distributor fleets and multi team territories are quoted per project.
