The Commerce workbench
Work your managed site from the platform: live activity, the content the build is waiting on, enquiries, the blog and the launch checklists.
Commerce is a managed service, which is the point: you do not maintain the site. It is still your channel, so the platform gives you a workbench over it. Open Commerce in the main navigation. With no site attached you see a sample of what the workbench looks like and a panel to book the consultation; with a site attached it opens on Overview.
Overview
The live picture: visitors, orders, enquiries and product finder runs as they happen, with the last two weeks charted. It is the answer to whether the channel is working this week, without opening an analytics tool.
Content
Every text and image slot on the site, page by page, with its honest state: in place, pending publish, or waiting on you. Text slots are editable in place by an admin and land as pending publish until the site confirms them. Media rows say exactly which photograph the project is still waiting on, which is usually what a build is actually blocked on.
Products never appear here, because a product on the site is a catalogue record. Change a price or a specification in Catalog and the site changes.
Enquiries
Enquiries sent through the site land in their own queue with reply and close built in. They are the same kind of thing as an emailed enquiry and can be worked into a quote the same way.
Blog
What is published and what is planned. The content programme is what earns the organic traffic a site like this is built for, so it is a visible list rather than a promise made in a kick-off meeting.
Checklists
The real launch and growth steps of your project, seeded from where the build actually is. Deliberately not gamified: what is done, what is moving and what is waiting on you, which is a state worth showing honestly and clearing in one click when the wait ends.
