Activating your address

Choose a prefix and bring your customer address live.

Why: Customers need one address to remember, in your name.
What: A prefix gives you the path address at once and your own Kabaido address on a paid plan.
How: Set the prefix in Settings then Customer facing and choose Activate address.

Bring it live

Step 1.
Open /app/settings/customer-facing.
Step 2.
Switch Customer sign in on and type a Prefix: lower case letters, digits and single hyphens, not starting or ending with a hyphen. The field shows the length allowed.
Step 3.
Choose Save. The path address works from here on.
Step 4.
On Pro, Ultra and Max, choose Activate address for <prefix>.kabaido.ai.
Step 5.
Choose View as a customer to walk the surface as your most recently active customer, read only.

State	Meaning
Not activated	Only the path address answers.
Activating	The platform is checking the address. This usually takes under a minute.
Ready	Links to customers use your Kabaido address, or your own domain once that is ready.
Failed	The address did not answer. Retry returns it to Activating.

Changing a ready prefix breaks saved links. The old prefix is kept on record so support can explain a dead link.

Some words are reserved (such as app, docs and shop) and a prefix must be unique across Kabaido.
