Create your account
Create an account, set up an organisation and invite your team.
Kabaido is organised around organisations. You sign in as a person and act inside one or more organisations, each with its own catalogue, customers and settings.
Go to the sign up page and create an account with your work email and a password of at least 8 characters, or request a magic link and sign in without a password. Google and Microsoft sign in are available where enabled. No card is required to start.
Onboarding
On first sign in a short onboarding flow runs over four screens: your name, your organisation's name, then two questions. The first is what your business does, and you pick the closest of seven: distribution and stock, fabrication and made to order work, balustrades and architectural metalwork, profile cutting and plasma, servicing and refurbishment, trade counter and online sales, something else. The second asks which product groups you sell, from a plain list, and switches on the presets that match what you tick. If you were invited, you join the inviting organisation instead and skip both questions.
The trade answer aims three things at your kind of work: the guided tour, the setup checklist in Activity and the example requests offered under the message box on the home page. It never switches anything off: every module stays available to every organisation whatever you answer.
Nothing is invented for you: no sample products, no example customers and no made up prices. What the second question sets up is real and yours to edit. The presets you ticked install the product schemas, the design modules, the machine interface where the trade has one, the wizards and the extra customer fields that trade works with, and their service definitions arrive switched off so that nothing starts quoting a figure you have not set. Turn presets on and off at any time from Settings, then Presets; see Presets overview.
What the home page puts first depends on your trade answer: distribution, trade counter and something else start by importing a catalogue, while fabrication, balustrades, profile cutting and servicing start with a first request instead, because those trades quote from what the customer sent rather than from a stock range. Each list also opens with one thing you can try before setting anything up. You can do any of it in any order, and everything you do in the platform is scoped to the organisation you are working in.
