Activity, and one screen per module

28 August 2026. Kabaido has recorded what happens in a workspace since the day it launched and shown almost none of it to the people it was about. A customer opening a quote was written to the document trail and to nobody. A service item passing its due date was ranked by a dashboard you had to already have open. An automation sent an email on your behalf and left a timestamp on a settings row. That is fixed, and two module areas were rebuilt at the same time.

Activity and notifications

There is a small bell at the top right of every screen in the platform. It opens the workspace's stream, ordered by what needs a decision first rather than by what happened last, so an overdue service item sits above a design somebody saved a minute ago. Unread rows carry their weight, read rows lose it, and opening a row marks that row read rather than the whole list.

• Quotes: sent, opened by the customer, accepted, declined, expiring, expired and chased. The one people wait for is opened, and it arrives once a day per quote however many times it is read.
• Orders raised, moved and varied. Requests arriving from a connected inbox or an integration, and replies the email agent has prepared for you to check.
• Service items falling due and going overdue. Imports finishing and failing. Automations that actually did something. Members invited, joined and moved. Plan changes, failed payments and a low credit balance.
• Machinist nests cut and sheet stock going low. Inspect unlocks and new signals. Presets turned on and off.

The full list lives at Activity in the main menu, with three lenses: Notifications, Setup, and Team, which shows admins and owners who has been where in the workspace.

The setup checklist moved

It used to sit under the box you type into, which is the one place on the screen that should be empty. It is in the Activity panel now, it is longer, and it only asks for things your workspace can actually do: an organisation with no design module on is never told to save a design. Under the composer instead is a quiet row of links to the modules you have switched on and the work you had open.

Wizard is one screen

Wizard used to be a gallery of cards you clicked through to reach the part that does the work, and the answer then arrived at the bottom of a long page, below the model, where people did not find it. Now Products, then Wizard opens straight on the selector: the form on the left, the live scene in the middle and the results on the right, on screen the whole time. Press See matches and the rail is already there.

The same rail carries the wizard's activity and its usage: how many runs, how many found something, where the runs came from and what people are asking for, all counted from your own runs and never modelled. The bandsaw scene now wears real photographed material surfaces, scaled to the real size of the section, so a 50 mm bar and a 200 mm box show the grain at the same scale.

Machinist is one screen

Machinist used to be a page with two cards on it, and Arcline underneath it spread over seven entries in the sidebar. Clicking Machinist now opens the module itself, with five views along the top: Shop, Parts, Orders, Nest and cut, and Setup, which folds machines, sheet stock and the cut chart into one place. Quick actions and the counts that matter are on the toolbar wherever you are.

Presets say what they bring

Every preset in the list now shows, at a glance, what it installs and how much of it: the design module, the machine interface, the wizards, the product schemas, the services and the customer fields, with its family in its own colour. You can filter by what a preset brings rather than reading thirty two names. Plate profiling now brings the Arcline machine interface with it, and there are three clearly named paths for a custom module, machine interface or wizard when nothing on the list fits.
