Your customers sign in

Commerce gives each of your customers their own sign in to their quotes, orders, documents and wizards, on your address and in your brand.

20 September 2026. The third release of the 1.0 programme brings the customer facing surface, and Commerce brings it. A customer of yours signs in with an access code you hand them, on kabaido.ai or on your own Kabaido address, and sees their own records and nothing else. A customer is never a member of your workspace: what they can read is decided in the database, row by row, and proven by a test that enumerates every table.

The customer sign in

  • A customer record carries an Access tab: create the code, copy the invite link, send the invitation, rotate or revoke it, and see who has joined and when they were last seen. A storefront account registered by your Commerce site links to the same record with no second identity.
  • The surface shows the customer their quotations with accept and decline, their orders and where each one is, their documents, their saved designs, the wizards you open to them, and their items with the approvals waiting on them where Service Centre is on. Deliveries arrive with Route.
  • A wizard a customer runs becomes a quote request in your workspace, marked as coming from the surface and naming who asked. A quotation you send appears on their surface the moment it is sent, and an acceptance raises the order.
  • The account page lists every supplier that has given the person a sign in, and lets them leave one.

Your address and your brand

  • Two front doors onto one surface: the path on kabaido.ai on every plan, and your own Kabaido address on a paid plan. A subdomain of your own domain can serve it too, with the record to add shown in Settings and the state checked for you.
  • Their surface, their brand: your logo, icon, wordmark and colour, in both themes. On a light colour the text switches to dark and buttons take the deeper tone, so everything stays readable.
  • View as a customer from Settings to see exactly what one of yours sees.

The customer assistant

  • Off by default. When you switch it on, a customer can ask about their own quotes, orders, items and documents, or a technical question, and the assistant only ever sees that customer's own records, never your costs, your margins or another customer.
  • Every answer draws on your workspace's usage, and each customer has a daily allowance you set.

In the platform

  • Settings then Customer facing holds the address, the domain, the brand, the areas customers may use and the welcome. The Commerce area's Customers online view shows who is signed in across your customers.
  • Switching Commerce off keeps every row and closes both addresses; switching it on brings them straight back.
