The service matcher, and the special

A servicing line matches your service definitions again; a special to a drawing that states nothing the range could identify it by is no longer answered with a choice of stock; and a fourth presentation joins the deck engine.

21 September 2026. A regrind batch read perfectly on a new workspace, twelve millimetres, four flutes, strip and recoat, and then priced nothing. That is the first of two corrections in this release, and it had been true in every workspace for a day.

Service lines match again

  • The release of 20 September removed a column from the services table that the AI interface's service listing still asked for. The database refused the request, the refusal was recorded and swallowed as an empty list, and every servicing line since was told that no service in the organisation matched it. The listing now names exactly the columns that exist, and the build fails if one of them ever goes.
  • Nothing you had set up was lost. A request sent in that window can be sent again and prices from your definitions as before.

A special is not a choice of stock

  • A line that asks for a part made to a drawing, stating only its material, used to be searched against the range like any other line. Every stock item of that material fit it equally, and the reader was asked to pick the closest one for a tool that exists only on a drawing nobody had sent.
  • The range is still searched first, so a special you actually stock under its own description is still matched. What no longer happens is the offer: when the search cannot separate the top candidates and the line states no dimension, number or designation, the line goes to the Design Engineer where a module fits it, otherwise to the made to specification card with the drawing asked for and the price left to you.

A fourth presentation

  • The deck engine carries a new presentation prepared for a cutting tool group in County Durham, in their own colours, with the surfaces that are theirs shown as theirs and nothing of Kabaido's commercial terms in it.
