Commerce is a workbench

A connected Commerce site is now run from inside the platform, and notifications arrive as they happen.

30 August 2026. Until now the Commerce area described the offer and booked a meeting. It still does that when you have no site, but a connected Kabaido Commerce website now opens a full screen workbench of its own, the same way Wizard and Machinist do.

What the workbench holds

  • Overview: live activity from your site as it happens, with visitors, orders, enquiries and selector runs over the last two weeks.
  • Content: every text and image slot on the site, with the photography that is in place and the shots still awaited tracked honestly.
  • Enquiries: messages sent on your site, with reply and close built in. Replies go from your workspace and are logged like any other email.
  • Blog: what is published and what is planned next.
  • Checklists: the real launch and growth steps of your project, ticked off as they land.

Nothing lives twice

Products on your site are your catalogue records. People who register on your site appear in Customers. Orders placed on your site are platform orders with the same numbering, documents and notifications as any other, and the order number your buyer saw travels with them. You can invite an existing customer to the site by email in one click.

Priced by length

The catalogue gained a semi-custom product type for things sold to a dimension: a bandsaw blade welded to length, cord or belt by the metre. One dimension drives the price through a rate, with an optional fixed addition and a minimum charge, and quantity breaks layer on top exactly as for a fixed price. Quotes and orders ask for the dimension and price the line from it.

Notifications now arrive

When something worth knowing happens, a small box appears top right and gets out of the way by itself. Important things stay until you dismiss or open them, and several stack in a list. Dismissing a toast never touches the notification: it stays in the bell exactly as it was.
