Invite people by the job they do, and work at a station from your own menu

Invite someone by the job they do and they arrive with the right role, the right areas and the right stations. A station opens from your own menu and hands you straight back, the operator role never sees a price, and every area explains itself the first time you open it.

23 September 2026.

People, and what each of them sees

  • Invite by the job someone does. Pick a template such as Internal Sales, Applications Engineer, Stores, Operator or Finance and the invite carries the role, the areas in their menu and the stations they work at. Only the templates your workspace can use are offered. Customise any of it before you send, and save what you made as a template of your own for the next person.
  • Access, beside each person in Settings then Users, changes their areas and their stations at any time. An area left out of someone's menu is closed to them, not just hidden.
  • The operator role sees the work and never a price: no quote values, no order totals, no rates and no margins on any screen they can open.

Stations, from your own menu

  • The benches, machines, vans and scan points you hold are listed under Stations in your menu. Open one and it runs under your own sign in: everything you record there carries both the station and your name, and one click takes you back to the workspace.
  • A screen signed in with a device key opens its own station and nothing else in the workspace.

Presets that know what they need

  • Each preset says which products it needs. Turning on one that needs a product you have not switched on asks first, and you can install it without that product instead.
  • Presets can now set up machines. The plate profiling and PCD tooling presets add their machines as stations, waiting for you to issue each one a device key.

Setting up

  • A new workspace is set up in four short steps: your name, your organisation and what it does, the products you need, then the presets. What your business does ticks the products most like it, and only the presets your products can carry are offered.
  • The Support page sets out three ways to get set up: yourself, with us online, or in person for a larger setup.
  • Where one missing piece would help, such as a logo on your quotes or accounting behind your invoices, a short note sits where it matters, and each note appears in one place only.

Guides

  • Your first visit starts with a short tour of the AI, then one of your menu, built from the products you have switched on. After that every area, view and settings section explains itself the first time you open it, and a guide you skip stays skipped.
  • On a phone the tour points at the menu and search buttons rather than at a menu that is closed.

Smaller

  • Customers has a Contacts view: every person at every customer in one searchable list.
  • A wizard now shows where it runs: for your team, for your signed in customers once Commerce is on, and on your own website through the embed.
  • The menu is narrower and sits closer to the top left, with tighter rows.
  • A screen signed in with a device key landed on the member sign in page instead of its station. It opens its station now.
  • A guide skipped the moment it opened could come back on your next visit and stop the next area's guide from opening. It stays skipped now.
  • Someone with the operator role was offered links into Machinist setup that they could not open. The shop view no longer offers them, and setup says plainly who looks after it.
