Custom endmill requests open in the design module

1.12.7

Type a custom solid carbide endmill into the AI and it opens in the design module with the sizes you wrote, and the free plan no longer stops a first request.

Updated 5 October 2026

A custom endmill typed into the AI is read straight into a specification with no model call: the diameter, flutes, corner radius, flute and overall length, shank, coating, end form and hand you wrote, each kept exactly as written and opened in the endmill design module with the material's published flutes, helix and coating where you gave a material. It reads the shorthand tool makers use (Ø10 z4 r0.5, 10x22x72) and the words in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Czech, Polish and Turkish. Sizes written in inches are read as inches and the answer says so.

When a request says two things about one size, such as two overall lengths, a 10 mm or a 12 mm tool, or coated and uncoated, it asks which one instead of choosing. A length that belongs to the part (a 120 mm long plate) is never taken for the tool.

A first request on the free plan no longer stops before it answers: the limit on a single request was set below the cost of reading Kabaido's own instructions, so a cold request was cut off. The free allowance itself does not change.
