Near miss specials are designed and priced

When every catalogue tool that comes close misses a size the customer gave, such as a 120 mm overall length against tools of 104 mm, the request no longer asks you to pick one of them: the Design Engineer sets out the tool asked for and prices it in the same answer. A tool that meets every stated size is still offered first. The design also reads the customer's own line, so the card quotes what they wrote, in their language.
