Chamfer mills read from the words
1.14.15A chamfer mill asked for in words is set out as a chamfer, and a form cutter keeps its job when its profile has a chamfer.

Ask for a "10 mm 90 degree chamfer mill" and the Design Engineer now sets out a chamfer: the angle and the tip from your words, and the cutting length from the cone. When an angle could mean the included angle or each side, it asks.
A form cutter sent with its DXF whose profile includes a chamfer now gets its flutes, helix and coating chosen for the job, as any other form cutter does.
