Movements and the ledger
Trace any balance back to the movements that made it, and export them.

- Finance and the stores both need to know why a number is what it is.
- What
- The ledger is append only: every change is a movement with a reason, a person and a time, and nothing edits one afterwards.

/app/stockand choose Movements, newest first.
Movement kinds
| Kind | Written when |
|---|---|
| Opening | A quantity is first recorded, by import or by a product's own screen. |
| Receipt | Goods in posts against a purchase order, or someone uses Receive by hand. |
| Reservation, Release | An order is created or reopened, or is cancelled. Only the reserved figure moves. |
| Issue | An order is fulfilled, a delivery is dispatched by carrier or collection, or a van delivers it. |
| Consumption | A machine run uses material. |
| Transfer | Stock moves between locations, including onto a van. |
| Adjustment | A count variance, a correction with a reason, or a changed figure on a product's own screen. |
| Return | A delivery comes back, or someone records a Return by hand. |
| Write off | Stock is scrapped, with a reason. |
Find and export
Filter by kind, location, who recorded it (Member, Station, System, Integration, AI, Customer) and date. Export takes the filtered rows as a file. Unit cost shows to engineer and above.
Without the Stock product the movements are still written, and each product shows its own quantities. Switching Stock on opens the whole ledger here.
