Specify a diamond tipped circular blade from the machine, the material and the cut quality, with every line inside its published span.

The PCD saw blade selector specifies a diamond tipped circular saw blade for panel and composite work. You give it the machine class, the material and what you are cutting; it returns diameter, bore, kerf and plate, tooth count, tooth form, hook angle, spindle speed and feed at the starting chip load, and it names the published table behind each one.

What it asks for

  • The machine class, which sets the typical blade diameter and bore and the stack the class handles.
  • The material being cut, which sets the tooth form, the hook angle and the tip material ladder.
  • The blade diameter, if you already run one, and the cut quality you need.

Where it abstains

The published dimension table covers 300 to 450 mm diameters. Inside that span the kerf, plate and tooth count rows cite the table. Outside it the same rows are presented as a starting point to confirm, at general confidence, rather than dressed up as published values. Aluminium tooth counts below 250 mm are derived by pitch and say so.

A blade diameter outside the machine class's published span raises a warning naming the span, and a spindle speed that puts the rim speed below the material's published band warns with the true rim speed printed beside it. A scoring blade is paired by the published rule, using the conical hollow back scoring programme rather than the main blade's tooth section.
