Creating quotes and orders

When a request is structured, matched and any clarifications are answered, Kabaido offers an action card to create the real entity. The lines, prices and customer are carried straight through.

Create a quote

The quote draft card lists each line with its summary, unit price and quantity, marks which lines are ready and suggests a customer where it can. Create quote builds a real quote with pricing applied, and the request gains a link to it.

What carries across

The line description, the quantity and the unit of measure, the matched product or configured item, the resolved unit price with the rule chain that produced it, and the customer. Nothing is retyped, which is the point: retyping is where a figure changes between the enquiry and the quote and nobody notices.

The price on the draft is the price your own rules give for that customer at that quantity, special prices and quantity breaks already applied. It is not a suggestion the AI produced. See Pricing rules and resolution order for the chain.

Create an order

Where the customer intent is to order, the same flow produces an order draft you confirm in one click. You can also add lines to an existing quote rather than starting a new one, which is what you want when a customer sends a second enquiry against a job you are already quoting.

Lines that are not ready

The draft card marks each line as ready or not. A line is not ready when it has an unanswered clarification, when it matched nothing, or when it has no price. You can still create the quote: the unready lines come across as lines to finish by hand rather than being dropped. Nothing is silently left behind, and nothing is silently invented to fill the space.

Every entity created this way links back to the line it came from, so you can trace a quote or order to the original request and the values behind it.
