Machinist
Know what the Machinist is, where it lives in the platform and what it costs.
The Machinist module puts working interfaces on a screen at the machine. Three are built today: Arcline, the CNC plasma and sheet metal fabrication interface covering parts, stock, cut orders and nesting with G-code and DXF export; Wire EDM, for eroding PCD tips and knife profiles with modelled wire times and disc stock; and CNC Milling, for machined bodies with modelled cycle times and billet stock.
What a machine interface is for
The gap this closes is between the office and the machine. The order exists in one system, the part geometry on a memory stick, the sheet stock in somebody's head and the offcut leaning against a wall. The operator works from a printout, and what actually got cut is reconstructed afterwards, if at all.
A Machinist preset is the screen that sits at the machine and holds all four: the parts library, the stock including remnants, the queue of what to cut next, and the nesting and file export that turns the queue into a job. Because it runs against the platform rather than beside it, a cut order can come from a quote and a finished cut can put its remnant back into stock without anyone retyping either.

Two ways to buy
- Platform module: use a preset with a screen attachment at the machine, running online against the platform.
- Licence or handover: machine builders take a preset or custom build under special licence, or a full handover custom build. POA.
What it costs
Presets are included in every plan. Every plan includes one connected machine screen, Free included, and extra screens are £49 a month each on any paid plan, added and removed from the billing page and prorated. AI features such as nesting assist draw on your monthly usage; drawing, nesting and exporting by hand cost nothing. Custom interfaces are scoped and built per project, POA.
Caps enforce softly, and on this module that matters more than elsewhere: reaching a limit never disables a running machine screen mid-job. A shop floor is not the place to discover a billing state.
