Commerce
Your store and trade portal, fully managed.
Domain-specific digitalisation of industrial sales, not web development. We build and run a maxed-out website, online store and trade portal for your range, wired into the same platform that quotes your enquiries.
What you get
A digital sales channel, run for you
Everything a buyer needs to find your range, choose the right product and order it, built and managed as one service.
- SEO and AI-search optimisation
- Built to be found: structured product data and pages written to answer the questions buyers and their AI tools actually ask.
- Material, industry and application pages
- Landing pages shaped around how your range is bought: the material it works, the industry it serves and the application it solves.
- Product finders
- Guided finders that walk a buyer from their application to the right product without a phone call.
- Online store
- Your range sold online, with every order landing in the platform rather than an inbox.
- Special pricing and trade accounts
- Trade customers sign in to their own portal and buy at the pricing you have agreed with them.
- Google Shopping
- Product feeds set up and maintained so your range appears where buyers already search.
- ERP-managed orders
- Orders flow through to your ERP, so fulfilment stays in the system your operation already runs.
The commercial case
What actually changes
The commercial case is deliberately ordinary. A site built around materials, industries and applications is found by more of the buyers already searching for what you sell, and finders and clean product data turn more of those visits into orders.
The operational case is the platform underneath. An online order arrives structured, so nobody rekeys it. A portal enquiry lands in the same Sales pipeline as an emailed RFQ, so nothing waits in a second system. Less manual processing on every order and a better experience for the customer placing it.
We publish no traffic or conversion figures because they depend on your range and your market. What we will do in the consultation is go through your current site page by page and set out exactly what we would change and why.
How it works
Scoped with you, built by us, run for you
Commerce is scheduling-first. There is no self-serve build: it starts with a conversation about your range and we take it from there.
Pricing
Quoted per project
£6,500 to £12,500
Quoted per project, typically £6,500 to £12,500 depending on complexity, billed as two invoices. There is no separate hosting line: once it is live the site runs on your ordinary Kabaido plan.
Where it lands in that band depends on your range and what we build, so we quote it after the consultation, in writing.
Your side of it
Managed does not mean invisible
Once your site is live, Commerce becomes a workbench in your Kabaido account. You watch the channel, answer what comes in and see exactly what your build is waiting on.
- Overview
- Live activity as it happens: visitors, orders, enquiries and product finder runs, with the last two weeks charted.
- Content
- Every text and image slot on the site, with what is in place and what we are still waiting on from you. No page builder to learn.
- Enquiries
- Enquiries sent on the site land in their own queue with reply and close built in, beside the ones that arrived by email.
- Blog
- What is published and what is planned, so the content programme that earns the traffic is a list rather than a promise.
- Checklists
- The real launch and growth steps of your project, ticked off as they land. You always know where the build is.
Nothing lives twice. Products on the site are your catalogue records, people who register on the site appear in Customers, and orders placed on the site are platform orders with the same numbering, documents and notifications as any other.
One pipeline
Orders land where your quotes already live
Commerce is not a separate system with its own admin and its own backlog. Orders and enquiries from your store and trade portal land in the same Sales pipeline as everything else: the same quotes, orders and customers your team already works in.
A web order is just another order. A portal enquiry is just another enquiry, read and structured the same way as one that arrives by email.
Questions
About Commerce
- We scope it with you, build it and run it. Hosting, changes, content, product data and feeds are all handled by us as part of your Kabaido plan, with no separate hosting line. There is no page builder to learn and nothing for your team to maintain.
- Quoted per project, typically £6,500 to £12,500 depending on complexity, billed as two invoices. What it costs depends on your range and what we build, so we quote it after the consultation. There is no separate hosting line afterwards: the site runs on your ordinary Kabaido plan.
- Commerce is a module of your Kabaido account, and that is where its value compounds: orders and enquiries from the store and trade portal land in the same Sales pipeline as the ones that arrive by email, so one team works one list.
- Yes. Special pricing and trade accounts are part of the offer. A trade customer signs in to the portal and buys at the prices you have set for them.
- Because the setup is the product. A store for an industrial range needs its product data, categories, finders and pricing rules built properly, and that is scoped work. Commerce starts with a consultation so we can quote it honestly.
Start with a consultation.
We look at your range and your current site, scope the store and trade portal with you and quote the build, typically £6,500 to £12,500. After that it runs on your ordinary Kabaido plan.
