- It would put the machine's own state, counts and alarms onto the job, so run time, downtime and pieces came from the machine rather than from somebody typing them.
- What moves
- Nothing moves yet. Machinist collects run time, piece counts and material at the station screen today, recorded by the operator as the job moves.
- What you hand over
- Nothing to hand over yet. A real connection needs a machine to prove it against.
