Wizard overview
Understand what the Wizard is, where it lives and what it costs to run.
Wizard is a platform area of deterministic product selectors. A wizard preset is an interactive engineering form: it takes what you know (material, workpiece shape and dimensions, machine, priorities), computes the correct product specification from published engineering data and then matches and ranks your own catalogue against that specification.
There is no AI anywhere in the Wizard and runs never consume credits. The intelligence is engineering logic compiled from published manufacturer guidance, and the same inputs always produce the same answer.
Where it lives
Wizard sits under Products in the platform, beside Catalog, Design and Service. The Wizard page lists the available presets and each preset opens a stepped runner: the form on one side and a live visual panel with gauges on the other.
Every step is skippable with a stated default. Missing input produces a question, never a guess, and a combination outside the published charts is reported honestly rather than extrapolated.
Results
Results render as a specification sheet where every line carries a why popover naming the published chart that produced it, followed by your catalogue ranked against the specification with a per factor score breakdown. An empty catalogue returns an honest empty state, never fabricated products.
Runs and caps
- Any Kabaido account can run wizard presets in the platform.
- The free plan includes 20 runs a calendar month; the runner shows the remaining count.
- Paid plans are uncapped.
- Runs never consume credits, on any plan.
One preset is live today: the bandsaw blade wizard. Further selectors follow the same engine pattern and are announced when they are built.
