Cutting: machine knives and blades
See how industrial knives are quoted from a drawing and reground.
Cutting covers industrial machine knives and blades: guillotine, slitting, granulator and trim blades, defined by profile, steel grade, edge geometry and heat treatment. They are bespoke, so a drawing usually leads.
The Cutting industry is a different thing from the cutting knowledge pack. The industry is machine knives and blades; the pack is cutting tools. They never compare equal in Kabaido.
Catalogue and configure
- Catalogue: the Industrial blades and knives schema, with blade type, length, width, thickness, edge type, bevel angle and steel grade.
- Configurator: Custom machine knife, priced from the blank area and thickness plus the edge grind, with your uploaded profile drawn to scale.
Service
Blade regrind and edge restoration is tiered by length, with a per edge regrind rate and an optional recoat.
The knowledge packs it leans on
Cutting draws on cutting, materials, coatings, metrology and abrasives, the last because the edge is ground.
