What is Configure 3D?

Configure 3D is Kabaido's configurable-product runtime. It takes a made-to-order enquiry, configures it against the seller's parameters, rules and stock, models it in live 3D, prices it and exports manufacturing files, all in the browser. Four configurators are live today.

Who configures the price and the rules?

The seller. Every configurator ships with clearly labelled example data; a seller loads their own stock, rates, formulas and engineering limits before going live, so their customers see real prices and real constraints.

Does it invent specifications?

No. The AI answers only from datasheets and tables the seller has loaded, and cites them. Where no loaded source covers the question it abstains and says so. It never invents a specification, tolerance, price or part number.

Can you build a configurator for our product?

Yes. Bespoke builds run on the same runtime as the four live products, so they inherit pricing, engineering rules, exports, AI grounding and ERP or CRM dispatch. If it is dimensioned and quoted repeatedly, it fits.

How it works

Six things happen between an enquiry and an order

One runtime carries the part from the buyer's parameters to a file in the seller's ERP, with nothing guessed along the way.

Parameters

The buyer sets dimensions, materials and options against the seller's own limits.

Live 3D

The part meshes in a browser worker as the values change, with a 2D profile where it matters.

Rules and price

Engineering rules validate the configuration and a formula prices it, itemised.

Cited AI

A grounded assistant sets values from loaded sources, or abstains rather than guessing.

Exports

Cut-ready DXF, STL, GLB and a PDF spec and quote, verified before they ship.

Dispatch

The configured item lands in the seller's ERP or CRM through signed, documented integrations.
